Military going-away gifts have a long-standing tradition rooted in camaraderie, respect, and appreciation for a service member’s dedication and sacrifices. These tokens—ranging from plaques and unit coins to personalized memorabilia—serve as tangible reminders of shared experiences and the strong bonds within a unit. They represent honor, gratitude, and well wishes as the individual moves on to a new assignment, retirement, or civilian life.

This project brought together the passions of a young man, a friend's vision, and creative craftsmanship. Inspired by a hand-drawn design of a Garmin badge from his friend, we infused personal stories to bring the idea to life. The individual plaques are laser cut and hand-painted, while the larger plaque is crafted from maple and walnut.
